Like I said, we are cloth diapering again.  Unfortunately, we quickly found out that Miles is in fact just like his sister and seems to get diaper rash more from the cloth diapers than from the disposables.  Boo.  And I am stubborn, so I refuse to give up on the cloth diapers.  Part of the reason he got diaper rash so quickly once we moved to cloth with him is that we hadn’t washed them correctly yet.  But, man, was his diaper rash BAD.  I felt so horrible that my 2 week old had this nasty, bleeding rash on his bottom.  Poor baby.

Thankfully, I received a sample of Baby Butz diaper rash cream to try out on him.  Baby Butz claims to clear up even the worst diaper rash in just a few hours.  It is all natural and cloth-diaper safe, so I was very hopeful that this would be the key to keeping his butt, well, cute!  Consistency in putting the cream on him was hard since we were changing him in two different places (his room and our room), but Baby Butz definitely worked it’s magic and he was diaper rash free within a day or two.  Much faster than any of MacKenna’s rashes.

Baby Butz is the closest cream that I’ve found to Desitin that is also cloth diaper safe (Desitin is not).  It is thick and truly protects his cute little bottom from any moisture that may irritate his skin.  And a little goes a long way!  The big container that I received should last several months, especially since we don’t have to use it every time we change his diaper.  Baby Butz for the win!
